Signed on October 22, 1989 and integrated within the Lebanese constitution in accordance with the amendments of the constitutional law issued on September 21, 1990, the Taif Agreement marked the start of a new era for the Lebanese-Palestinian relations. This major transition was initiated by the Cabinet’s decision in October 2005 to form the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee.
