Within the camp improvement initiative launched by the GoL in 2006, the improvement of Ein El-helwe camp infrastructure represented a top priority mainly due to the un-healthy environment. The project was separated into four packages where UNRWA succeeded to attract to first donation from Japan for implementing the works in the souk area.
