Ambassador Khalil Makkawi: (October 2005 - December 2009)

He has had a long career of international service, holding the post of Ambassador of Lebanon to several countries; including the German Democratic Republic, Great Britain, Italy and Ireland.
From 1983 to 1985, he was the Director of the Political Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 1990 to 1994, he was Lebanon's Ambassador to the United Nations. While at the UN, he was vice president of the 46th session of the UN General Assembly and president of the Executive Board of UNICEF.
He has chaired many Lebanese delegations to international and regional meetings; namely, the International Monetary Fund Conference in Rome, the Mediterranean Members of the Non‐Aligned Countries, in Brioni, Yugoslavia, and the 8th Summit Conference of the Non‐Aligned Countries in Harara, Zimbabwe.
Dr. Makkawi holds a PhD from Columbia University in International Relations, an MA from Cairo University and a B.A. in political science from the American University of Beirut.
Me Maya Majzoub: (March 2010- July 2011)
Appointed in March 2010, by H.E.Mr Saad Hariri, President of the Council of Ministers, to head the Lebanese Palestinian Dialogue Committee (LPDC), Me Majzoub is attorney at Law and enjoys a wide experience in legal practice, human rights and Palestinian affairs. Member of the Beirut Bar Association and of the committee for Public Freedoms Advocacy within the Bar, she is a former legal advisor to the Ministry of Education and was part of the legal team tasked with the mission of drafting laws for the Ministry, monitoring the follow up and providing the legal support for implementing educational projects. Me Majzoub also served as legal consultant for the Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development. She held the functions of General Coordinator of the Lebanese Palestinian Committee for Dialogue & Development in Saida, South Lebanon.
